# The Standalone Network Application After 10.6 > Ubiquiti has announced that UniFi Network 10.6 is the last release of the standalone Network Application. New features from Network 11 onwards will only be available on UniFi OS Server. This page explains what that means for your subscription and how to move to UniFi OS Server with us. --- ## What's changing - **10.6 is the last release of the standalone Network Application.** The standalone application won't get the new features that arrive in Network 11 and later releases. - **Network 11 will only be released for UniFi OS Server.** Ubiquiti hasn't given a release date yet. - **To get new features from Network 11 onwards, move to UniFi OS Server.** We do the move for you from the customer portal. Your controller keeps working on 10.6, and you manage your sites and devices as you do today. ## What UniFi OS Server gives you UniFi OS Server is Ubiquiti's current platform for the Network application, and every new Cloud UniFi subscription runs on it. Your Network application and its settings carry over. Moving gives you: - **New Network releases**, including Network 11 when Ubiquiti releases it. See [Updates on UniFi OS Server](../unifi-os-server/updates.md). - **Remote Access**, [unifi.ui.com](https://unifi.ui.com) and the UniFi mobile app through Ubiquiti's cloud. See [Remote Access](../unifi-os-server/remote-access.md). - **Site Manager features** such as Fabrics and Site Magic SD-WAN. - **CyberSecure**, Ubiquiti's threat-intelligence add-on, which needs UniFi OS Server. See [CyberSecure](../unifi-os-server/cybersecure.md). You'll notice an updated interface and a console dashboard around the Network application. Your price doesn't change. ## How to move with us You start the move from the [customer portal](https://portal.cloudunifi.com): 1. Open your service and click **Upgrade to UniFi OS**. 2. Choose the console owner from your super admins. 3. Review the details and start the migration. We build the new console, restore your data into it and keep your existing address working, so your devices reconnect on their own. Most sites move in under an hour. If your service page shows **Request Migration Access** instead of the Upgrade button, click it and we'll arrange the move for you. ## If you have a USG gateway You can still move. A USG never blocks the move to UniFi OS Server, and it keeps working there. Once Network 11 is released and installed on your console, the USG keeps running with its current settings but can't be changed or adopted again, so plan to replace it with a UXG gateway before then. We recommend moving, as it's the only way to get new features from Network 11 onwards, but it isn't required at this time. ### Does moving change my price? No. Your plan and price stay the same on UniFi OS Server. ### Will I still get security fixes on 10.6? Ubiquiti hasn't said how long 10.6 will receive fixes. We'll update this page when they do. ### Is UniFi OS Server stable? Yes. It's Ubiquiti's current platform, every new Cloud UniFi subscription runs on it, and we move existing controllers to it regularly. We test new UniFi OS Server and Network releases on our own consoles. ### What changes for me after the move? - **Your console gets a second address** ending in `.netconsole.cloud`. Your existing `.cloudunifi.com` address keeps working. - **You sign in** with the same username and password as before. See [Signing in](../unifi-os-server/signing-in.md). - **The interface** has a console dashboard around the Network application. - **Remote Access** needs to be turned on again if you used it. See [Updates on UniFi OS Server](../unifi-os-server/updates.md). ### What happens to my devices? Nothing on the devices themselves. We keep your existing address pointing at the new console, so access points, switches and gateways reconnect on their own, usually within minutes. ### Do I need new hardware? No. UniFi OS Server is software that we host for you. Your existing devices carry on. The only hardware affected by Network 11 is the USG range, covered above. ### Who should be the console owner? One of your existing super admins, ideally one linked to a Ubiquiti account. That keeps single sign-on, Remote Access and the mobile app working.
