The console sign-in page

A hosted UniFi OS Server is Ubiquiti's UniFi OS running on a private server that we look after. This page explains what is in it, which addresses to use, which settings to leave alone, and where Ubiquiti's own documentation applies.

UniFi OS Server has one owner, any number of administrators, and roles that control what each person can do in the Network application and in the console settings.

UniFi OS Server and the Network application update from the console's own Updates page. You choose whether updates install automatically and at what time of day, and the console restarts for a few minutes while an update installs.

There are two layers of backup: the console's own system backup, which you can download or restore at any time, and our nightly encrypted backups, which we keep offsite and can restore for you.

Remote Access lets you open your console from unifi.ui.com (Site Manager) and from the UniFi mobile app, through Ubiquiti's cloud. It is optional: your console address works from anywhere without it.

UniFi CyberSecure is Ubiquiti's paid threat-intelligence add-on for UniFi gateways. It works on your hosted UniFi OS Server console. You buy it from Ubiquiti, not from us, and you need one subscription per site.

If you are new to UniFi OS Server, read How to migrate a UniFi Network Application to UniFi OS Server first. It explains why devices need to be told about the new address, which is the part we handle for you.

The configuration moved but some devices show as offline or disconnected. In almost every case the device is still trying to reach an old address, and the fix is to tell it the new one.

Moving from the old UniFi Network Application to UniFi OS Server is four jobs: get a server, install UniFi OS Server, restore your backup, and get your devices talking to the new address.

Ubiquiti has announced that UniFi Network 10.6 is the last release of the standalone Network Application. New features from Network 11 onwards will only be available on UniFi OS Server.
